The Great Story

Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.

...

The Great Story

He replied, "Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."

Hope

Never let go of hope. One day you will see that it all has finally come together. What you have always wished for has finally come to be. You will look back and laugh at what has passed and you will ask yourself... 'How did I get through all of that?'

DRIVING IS FUN

Let me talk about today's epic driving lesson.

the (useful) Malay instructor really made my day.

Near Accident-encounter

I was driving on a straight road at 50km/hr.

There was a cyclist on the left side, so I kept a safe gap of about 1 metre away from him (those taking FTT, take note..)

LO AND BEHOLD! The cyclist suddenly rode into my path (on public roads, mind you).

Glanced through my rear mirror and did an emergency brake (just jam the brakes) IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. He was inches away from death.

My malay instructor slammed the horn, wind down the window and shouted

"BROTHER, TIRED OF LIVING IS IT???!?!?!?!"

"YOU DONT WANT TO LIVE, DONT GIVE PPL PROBLEMS LAH!"

---

me: "HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! ... like that test how ah?"

Him: "Not your fault. If the tester fail you because of this, you go argue with him..."

he continued with "Tell the tester, SIR, PEOPLE TIRED OF LIVING WHAT! WHAT YOU WANT ME TO DO?!"

---

Another convo between my instructor and i;

me: "Sir, can give me advice on how to pass?"

Him: "Just fail 10 times."

me: "HAHAHA. what you mean, sir?"

Him: "Really ah. the record at Comfort (Driving Center) is 10 attempts. once you reach that stage, the tester would auto pass you lah"

...
Him: "By the way, you ride motor ah? You got the motorcyclist look."

me: "NOOO LAH. Its complicated..."

Life goes on...

Hi this is quite a messy piece on life in general.

See if this makes sense..

In life we all have an unspeakable secret, an irreversible regret, an unreachable dream and an unforgettable love.

Seasons change, friends move away, flowers fade, streams go dry and many times we wonder why.

For some, as time goes by, all we can think of is why that person's gone.
Trying to forget someone you love is like trying to remember someone you never met.

Sometimes the littlest thing in life changes something forever and there will be times when you wish you can go back to how things used to be but you just can't, because things have changed so much.

In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: It goes on.

Be strong & courageous.

Flags of our Fathers

Nostalgia serries: A road less travelled.

#1

Buses in Singapore; when my father was still riding his motorbike.. serious. (late '80s - 90s)

#2 Volkswagen; My father's first car when he was 25.

#3 Trolley Bus along High Street, Singapore (1930s)

#4 Trolley Bus Service plying Geylang (1950s)

Police were in shorts, carrying water guns and at most tear gas.

See the long que at the right side, the bus also never stop.

No wonder got Hock Lee Bus Riot (1955), led by Communist operative, Mr Lim Chin Siong.

Go read up your Singapore's History if you do not know who/what i'm refering to..

#5 Modern Bus (1960s?)

### The content above is purely fictional. Believing anything here is like believing Pulau Tekong is a holiday resort.

Under the Moonlight

Hi i am trying to write about something.. but i will save that for another day.

#Road trip

Went for another night cycling adventure with riders Goh, Hong, Ng & yours truly, The Leong.

Route: Tamp - ECP - Fort road - Kallang - F1 race track - Popeyes @ Singapore flyer (above)

We sneaked into the F1 Night race street circuit.

While some people paid up to $7500 for admission to the Paddock Club, we managed to get in for free.

Of course we did not see any F1 drivers or cars because the F1 race is over, in case you did not know.

For those people who live in the mountains, the Paddock Club is an exclusive room for VVIP guests where they get a close-up view of the night race..

Too bad, no pictures here. thats the end of our adventure.. good night.
