crazy days.

recently the days hav been crazy.

been on the move all week. every hour every and minute can be accounted for.

crazy crazy. real scenario from thurs;

9am - 11am b finance tutorial
11am - 1pm b finance lecture
1pm - 2pm LUNCH BREAK!
2pm - 4pm psychology tutorial
4pm - 6pm sociology tutorial
6pm - 7pm; sociology lecture

right after sociology lecture at 1900 hours, i called johan up.

Me: "what time are you all planning to stay till?"

Johan: "the computer lab is opened till 945pm today."

Here's a note for my MBS groupmates.

To Johan, Sherlyn, Jacelyn & Brendan;

thanks for the whole experience.

its nice how we complement each other with our strenghts and accept each other weaknesses.

its amazing how we worked on a flexible-timing schedule without conflicts.

what i mean by flexi time, our members could come and leave anytime for meetings.

but even when one member wasnt there, the rest would still continue to work.

i dare say we played hard but worked even harder.

even though its our FIRST and LAST project together, its been the best 4 weeks.

CHEERS!

I can only say God keeps me occupied with gladness of heart.

Perharps, this is the best way to explain God's Favour, Grace and Goodness.

As you do not know the path of the wind, or how body is formed in a mother's womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things.

HAZY DAYS

Recently, the skies are becoming hazy. Seriously.

Been wanting to update for quite awhile.

but i had assignments A, b, c, d. Quizzes E f, g, h. Research I, j, k. Then tutorials L, m followed by outings N, o, p, q.. and the list goes on to Z.

i think E-hub is officially the coolest place to be in

(within the Eastern boundaries of Singapore only)

E-HUB'S - TEAsire cafe.

this is not a fish bowl by the way.

ian cheng looking up to the heavens..

Past two weeks, i have many entries for "first time".

My first time:

1) (learning) DRIVING! on 12 May 2008.

2) Watching 2 movies over the weekends and coming out of both feeling extremely satisfied and smiling - IRONMAN & SPEEDRACER.

I finally developed the mental capabiltity to fully comprehend what ppl meant by "guy's ego"..

3) Heading to school on an off day to do research.

@@@

On a final note. I can also identify with JACK NEO'S JUST FOLLOW LAW.

"Red tape generally includes the filling out of seemingly unnecessary paperwork,
obtaining of unnecessary licenses,
having multiple people or committees approve a decision and
various low-level rules that
make conducting one's affairs slower, more difficult, or both."

My recently discovered passion and desire is to get a Motorcycle (Class 2B) licence..

Imagine, RIDER LEONG.

Imagine crusing down the streets.. Rding up to Johor for some Ramly burger.

Imagine feeling the wind in your face.

Like Samsung says, Imagine the Possibilities or, Its not that hard to Imagine.

Imagine the Possibilities; as if Mr Daydreamer.

Like i say before, Chances are SLIM.

Again some might not understand what i meant above. hahah.

NO TITLE

i ran out of ideas on what to blog.

and we have enough useless blogs, flooding the internet with your typical "i want the world to know what i do everyday/hour/minute" entries.

so today i would talk bout things which serves to benefit the general public.

here's an extract of my public speaking assesment speech (draft) delivered a few months back.

Type: Persuassive speech.

DISCLAIMER: This speech was prepared with the intention of reaching out to students at a tertiary level (audience), as such viewer's discretion is advised for those under M18.

EXTRACT - Clubbing: Source of Entertainment or Entrapment?

COPYRIGHT © LEONG W. J., JARED.

According to a frequent clubber, people go clubbing because it offers a unique experience. Mr Warren Carter an expat wrote in his personal website “Some of these practises include music and dancing. Drinking and getting drunk. Patrons are dressed to kill and leave little to the imagination. Drinks, fun and sex are the goals of many who go clubbing.”

As an ex-clubber myself, I hate to say it but clubbing is actually an avenue where you are at most risk of becoming a victim of crime or worst, a moment of folly that might lead to a lifetime of regret.

So is clubbing really a source of entertainment or is it a source of entrapment?

Today I would tell you the dangers of clubbing and some socially responsible behaviour you should adopt should you intend to go clubbing.

Remembering God

You may say to yourself, "My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me." But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant

Poly Year 1 has ended.

wanted to test my phone camera settings; so happen this guy got caught by MATA

today marks the start of another season.

the end of mugging seasons and start of holidays ;)

which also means Year 1 in Tp has come to an end.

Some short term things/activites:

- 1b20 class gathering-cum-bbq

- 18 soon.
someone once told me turning 18 = driving license; 21 = buy car.
haha thats the best i've heard.

unlike those old & boring ones: 18 = clubbing/drinking/smoking/ R21/M18? HAH?

- Sign up for theory (driving) lesson ##

- Find a job. (prefably work with friends and not ALONE..)

## - Tentative as subjected to external factors.

Oh, its over.

back to photoblogging ;)

Chinese New Year (7th Feb 2008)

THE LEONGS ;)

My larger family;
2008 BBTC Youth Church Leaders.

*******************

School term ended today. i will miss all the good times with 1b20.

Like i told someone, even if we have gatherings, catch up sessions in future, well the 1b20 experience is irreplacable.

The 'feeling' is just not going to be the same.

One distinct thing i'd rmb, heading to Business Park Canteen for meals EVERYDAY.

Standard meals: Chicken chop. Chicken cutlet. Cutlet rice. Occasional charsiew rice. Iced mocha.
5 days a week x Almost 16 weeks.

Wait, everyday is probably an understatement.

Whatever free time we had, we headed to biz park. hahah.

On another note, I am glad to report 100 PERCENT tutorial attendance for all 5 subjects ;) ;)

I have to admit to skipping "a handful" of Accounting & PS lectures to study, play cards or heading to tm.

And it's not easy to be me.

i found this in thur's Urban:

"REAL MEAN WEAR SKINNY JEANS."

hahaha.

as i look back at the week. i see a flashback of disappointments, uncertainty, hope, choices, fatigue, joy, regrets, forgivenesss, anger,

relief, peace, fun, frustration, excitement, sadness, happiness, true friends, suprises, being loved.

these are all part of life. but with God's strength, i have emerged a stronger person.

the saddest form of pity is self pity. the moment you give in, you lose hope. you feel helpless and a good for nothing.

remember, have faith. move on.

in the midst of these, i thank God for friends who are very dear to me.

i realised how blessed i am to have such true friends to go thru the journey. to share struggles and joys.

9 months ago. when the four of us were selling nachos and whatever during TP ccn day. in a letter i received:

"plus you've got wonderful classmates who will go through thick and thin with you. trust me."

indeed friends they are plenty. but true friends, how many can we find and keep by our side?

1) shopping trips to marina square. city link. parkway. ;)
2) being my fashion advisors ;) ;)
3) fun times at unhealthy macs.
4) "crocodile and ralph lauren polo tees"
5) taboo dark blue ;)
6) smses/ calls/ msn chats.
7) john little sale ;)
8) "bus captian" long sleeve shirt
9) all of you just being plain funny. haha
10) and all the encouragement and support.
11) picking out positive things even when hope seems bleak.

yes these are the things which i will remember.

of course. they are more friends which i shall mention ;) the daily "guy talk session" at Business Park during breaks, in between lectures. whatever.

yes these too, remember will i. all part of the "Tp experience"

and no i will not blog about unpleasant happenings in Accounting class, lest my class participation points get deducted.

The Busy-ness life Part II

This is a follow up of a two part serries.

1. After one project is due, it is followed by a period of relative rest and peace.
(weekends to tuesday)

Hence, no pictures here.

2. Then life of "being in school from 9am - 8.30PM" kicks in.

Here i would like to clarify, this is evidently common among Design/Engineering students.

And from a reliable source, they head for the bed once home.

pic adapted from threadless.

3. Finally, in the name of Efficiency and Emergency, one laptop is never enough.

I am a big fan of efficiency and as far as possible, i practise what i preach.

7 LAPTOPS!! true believers of "effective delegation"

it may sound cliche and familar to some, but truly,

the voice of the people has spoken.

Life of a business students.

Today i would like to talk about life of a TP Business Student.

A picture paints a thousand words so here goes:

1. Life of "rushing your assignments culture" generally takes place from 10PM - 12 MidNight.

pic adapted from crystale's blog ;) really nice..

At least half the class would be online with BUSY status.

In this case, the majoirity were probably TOO BUSY to even change their status.

Expect personal messages like "PROJECTS", "RESEARCH!!!", "NOT IN A PROJECT MOOD" (source: rachel)

2. During peak periods, expect your e-mail to be flooded with work/project related issue.

Below are screen shots over a period of 1 week.

(POM subj =Principles of Management)

3. Oh by about 1230am, operations start t0 cease. Simply because we got a 9am lesson the following day.

Stronger ones would stay till 1am/2am.

And the cycle repeats.

i looked up and saw a white light.. haha

BOSS HONG AND LEONG.

Bosses of Hong Leong Finance Bank.

and now the season for sowing. plenty of assignments, projects and tests spread over January.

the most challenging one is public sp assesment in 2 or 3 weeks time.

we decided on clubbing for our topic. i got to persuade ppl on alternatives to clubbing.

other social activities that let ppl drink, dance, socialise etc etc. key word is Responsibly.
